Mild-mannered, deferential Korean American dork to the general public and bootay-shakin’ smart aleck to the select few, Sarah Sun Kim is a recent transplant to the prayer-flippin’ IHOP in KC. In June 2006, Sarah received her M.A. degree from Harvard University, where she focused her research on arms control theories/policies, North Korea’s nuclear ambitions as well as its state formation from 1945-50. She is also equipped with a B.A. in East Asian Languages and Cultures from Columbia University, where she concentrated on East Asian literature, film, and history.
Between earning her degrees, Sarah was in the full-time employ of The Korea Society in NYC for four years. There, she was immersed in a work environment fostering her curiosity in the contemporary issues facing and involving the Korean peninsula. Through her professional and academic career, Sarah has had invaluable opportunities to develop and implement programs and events with many prominent business, policy, and government leaders, including Samsung Group chairman Lee Kun Hee, former United Nations secretary-general Kofi Annan, Ban Ki-moon who is the new UN secretary-general, U.S. presidents Jimmy Carter and George H.W. Bush, South Korean presidents Kim Dae-jung and Roh Moo-hyun, and North Korea’s ambassador to the UN Han Song Ryol. But more importantly, Sarah is an unabashed goof and especially enjoys making people laugh at her expense. So, feel free to make her the butt of all your jokes.
But above all else, Sarah is a friend and lover of God (FaLoG), and her passion is to know God and to make Him known!
Now, I’m gonna stop perping to ya peeps like I’m a playa, fo’ shoida than sho! Togetha, let’s chillax, parlay ‘n bring some mad flava to this blahgosphere, yo! Werd up!
