As understood traditionally, missionaries go on missions. But, what is a mission? Does it have to be a physical “going out?” We are missionaries in the sense that we accomplish through prayer as much as a traditional missionary does through actually going somewhere. I think we are ‘on the move’ – I go on a mission every day! Wow, that was cheesy.
By the way, that is one of the strangest definitions of an intercessor I’ve ever heard – they prostrate themselves and fast? Just funny…I’m all for prostration, don’t get me wrong! It just wouldn’t be my first choice when defining my job description.
Oh Sarah…you’re the most diligent person I know! I must agree – the word, intercessionary missionary is a mouthful! Thanks Sarah, I guess that’s who I am too!! You’ve finally helped me found myself and who I am in this small world! You’re very helpful!

i’m an intercessor.
missionaries go on missions right?
intercessors prostrate themselves and fast.
i think you’re an intercessionary if you’re on the move, and still doing what an intercessor does…

Let’s start another acronym:
IM: Intercessory Missionary

That would give whole new meaning to “IM me” – kind of like being knighted or something.
